Anger Management is going through some serious changes between dipping ratings and the firing of Selma Blair for sassing off to Charlie Sheen. This new change however, seems to be a positive one.
Brian Austin Green has already appeared on the show as Sean, the boyfriend of Sheen’s ex-wife, but now he’s being bumped up to a series regular as opposed to only appearing in a handful of episodes like before. The goal is to make him something of a rival for Sheen, and he should come back around midseason.
The show has not yet been able to find a replacement for Blair, but they’re searching hard for the “sexy” and “gorgeous” person to fill her heels.
I have my doubts about the sustainability of this show, particularly with Sheen getting more or less carte blanche to do what he wants. I’m not sure FX was wise to sink SO much money into the project, and from what I’ve seen, nearly all of their other comedy offerings are much better and cost much less.
Perhaps with changes it can get better, but so far I’m anything but convinced.
