CBS has added to their comedy slate for 2013-2014 by giving a series order to ensemble Friends with Better Lives. The multi-cam joins The Millers and Mom, as well as single-cams The Crazy Ones and We Are Men, on the schedule for next season.
Starring James Van Der Beek as a gynecologist trying to recover from his soon-to-be ex-wife’s infidelity, Friends with Better Lives focuses on A group of 30-something friends who each think the other has it better. The show also stars Kevin Connolly, Brooklyn Decker, Rick Donald, Zoe Lister Jones, and Majandra Delfino.
In addition to the five comedies, the network has ordered three new dramas for next season: Reckless, starring Cam Gigandet; Jerry Bruckheimer’s Hostages; and Josh Holloway vehicle Intelligence.
CBS is set to reveal its 2013-2014 schedule on Wednesday, May 15th.
