All the Details about Lady Gaga’s New Las Vegas Residency

Let’s be clear about Lady Gaga’s new Las Vegas residency. It has more to do with her wanting to perform in Las Vegas than it does with moving to or near the location and setting up shop there for the rest of her career. The popular singer will be taking the same road as Elvis Presley, Celine Dion, and several others in taking up a spot on the Vegas Strip by performing at the Park MGM Resort for the next two years. Some people might wonder why she’s suddenly decided to do this but she’s been looking forward to it for a while it would seem since she’s already become an icon in her time and has accomplished more in her career than many others. It might just be the time to go to Vegas and claim yet another part of her stardom that she’s been wanting for a while, but we’ll have to wait and see if it’s going to lead to anything more.

There are a few things to consider however.

This doesn’t mean she’ll be staying in Las Vegas indefinitely.

This could be a yes or a no depending on how she feels about it in a couple of years and whether or not she wants to stay on. The rigors of touring are hard on any performer since traveling so far between gigs can add a lot of wear and tear on their bodies and their voices. Whether Gaga will want to stick around and really establish a presence in Vegas once her term is up is hard to tell at this point since she’s just now making it clear that she is coming to Las Vegas. For people on the West coast and in neighboring states this is great since it will give them a better chance to come and see one of her shows. Just keep in mind the cost is probably going to go up. This is Las Vegas after all and it is Lady Gaga. These two facts will no doubt be used to keep the prices competitive and the show one of the big moneymakers.

Her health is still kind of a question mark.

While she seems healthy enough at times and also able to be on the go she does suffer from fibromyalgia, an incurable condition that can cause severe pain and discomfort that doesn’t always go away. Being on tour so often can aggravate this condition and it could be one reason why she’s so intent on making Las Vegas her place for the next couple of years. It won’t be likely to cure her but it will allow Gaga to stop moving around so much and focus her talents from a more centralized location. This could hopefully help to keep her on stage and in the eyes of her fans for as long as she wants to be there. But given that this condition can worsen or come on at any time she’ll still have to be as vigilant as she’s been for this long and make sure that she’s fully capable of providing her fans with the desired level of entertainment that she can provide.

It’s been a lifelong dream to perform in Las Vegas.

For a lot of performers Las Vegas is THE place to go when it comes to entertain people. It’s one of the biggest cities in the world when it comes to gambling and offers just about anything and everything a person could want when it comes to one pleasure or another. Lady Gaga seems made for Vegas to be certain since her acts are kind of out there at times and perfect for drawing crowds. While it seems as though she’s able to tone it down from time to time when it comes to certain performances, as she did for the Star-Spangled Banner in Superbowl 50, she is still every bit the outrageous and insanely innovative performer she’s been since she hit the scene. While she promises to bring a performance unlike anything that’s been seen before that still seems like a bold claim, especially for Vegas. But the chances seem good that she’ll be up to the challenge.

This is Lady Gaga after all, she’s taken the kind of criticism and heat that many people haven’t been able to deal with in their careers and kept going. If none of it has brought her down at this point then nothing short of own form of kryptonite is going to stop her now. Coming to Las Vegas is a sensible and sensational move for her since it allows her to maintain her health as much as possible and reach a wide number of people since she’s still a very popular individual and is able to give the people what they want without flinching at the criticisms.
