Hatosy will play a well-intentioned but out of his element military man with a soulful disposition. In addition to his work on Southland, his past TV credits include Amazon’s Bosch, CBS’ Reckless, and the former A&E now Netflix drama Longmire.
Fear The Walking Dead, which has already been given a two-season commitment from AMC, will be a prequel to the original Walking Dead series, taking place during the early days of the outbreak in Los Angeles. The show stars Cliff Curtis (Gang Related), Kim Dickens (Deadwood), Frank Dillane (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) and Alycia Debnam-Carey (The 100). Its first season will consist of six episodes, the same amount as Season 1 of the original Walking Dead series.
Additionally, the San Diego Comic-Con panel for Fear The Walking Dead has been announced and will take place on Friday, July 10, at 1 p.m. in Hall H. The panel will feature many members of the series’ cast, including Dickens, Curtis, Debnam-Carey, Dillane, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Lorenzo James Henrie, Ruben Blades, and Mercedes Mason, along with executive producer/showrunner David Erickson and his fellow executive producers Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero, and Dave Alpert. The panel will also be moderated by Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick.
