General Hospital fans are not entirely amused by what is happening with Carly right now, but we are not nearly as unhappy about it as Sonny is. He’s in the middle of a rough situation in so many ways. He has a chance to make things right with the woman he loves, but he has a small doubt in his mind. What we will see today is him in the midst of all his struggles. He’s not sure what to believe, and he’s not sure he likes the way he’s thinking or the things he is feeling. He is not sure that she did this, but he is also not sure she did not do this.
Pushing Nelle down a flight of stairs might not be something Carly would be against in reality, but with the girl pregnant with her own grandchild? That is not something Sonny believes Carly would ever do — and he knows Nelle and all her lies. But then there is the fact that Carly has been slowly losing it telling him that she’s seeing Morgan and what’s going on. He’s not seeing it, but he’s trying to support her.
Now he wonders if she’s losing it. It would not be the first time she suffered a serious mental break, even if she’s been fine and well for such a long time now. It’s been one of those situations in which things might not be perfect for them, but he might not know how to handle this. On one hand, he is going to do whatever he can to free his wife from this arrest, but does he encourage her to seek mental help?
She’s not crazy. We all know this, but we also see how it’s easy to think she is. She’s been seeing a lot of things that don’t exist, a lot of things that don’t make a lot of sense, and a lot of things that aren’t quite right in the world. She’s in the middle of a lot of stuff right now, and it’s bad news for all involved. We can’t deal with it.
