I’m thoroughly confused. You’ve got all these TV shows and movies out there based on comics, cartoons, and all kind of “fantasy” stuff being released at a mile a minute, and no one’s working on Thundercats? Does anyone remember the amazing fan made trailer for Thundercats? It’s hard to believe but it was made all the way back in 2008. It was one of the very first fan trailers that hit the million view mark on Youtube. To date it’s been viewed over 7 million times. Have a look below and that I’ll complain some more.
How in the world has a movie not been made yet? And shame on the failed TV series. They tried to resurrect the show unsuccessfully in 2012. The show lasted one season only to never return. I find it very troubling and almost impossible to believe that someone, somewhere isn’t working on a successful reboot. I mean, at the least you’d have to think that Netflix could easily put something together, no?
You know what’s even more sad? When you type “Thundercats” into Google and click “news” all of the latest headlines are surrounding a band by the name of “Thundercats.” So right now a musical band of the same name is getting more attention than one of the most classic 80s cartoons to ever exist?
I implore all you animators and writers out there to get to work. We need this thing to happen already.
