I’m Definitely Starting to Like Will Smith Again after DJ Jazzy Jeff News

I’m telling you right now that Will Smith reads this site.  I cannot prove it but I just know he does.  Not even a week ago just a short time after we were still ranting and raving about the Fresh Prince of Bel Air faux reunion,  I wrote in an article that I was never really a fan of “serious action hero Will Smith.”  I still think his best work comes in two forms:  When he’s 100% humorous or 100% serious.  Smith is a great actor but I’ve never been a fan of his straight up action film work (unless there’s a good amount of humor like in Bad Boys).

I also mentioned that I missed the old Will Smith. This is rapper Will Smith, not “Welcome to Miami” Will Smith.  We’re talking Jazzy Jeff Will Smith.  Smith is finally going back to his roots.

Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff announced this week they will take the stage together again and perform their first official shows in 12 years; sets at the two-day 2017 MTV Presents Summerblast Festival in Croatia on Aug. 25 and 26 and at the 2017 Livewire Festival in the U.K. on Aug. 27. “Yup…and THIS IS FINALLY HAPPENING!!!” Jeff, 52, wrote on Instagram.

Will, 48, and Jeff last released music together in 1998, after which the former concentrated on his own solo music and acting careers. The two last performed together as an official duo in 2005.

One word:  WOW.
