Khloe and Lamar Season 2 Episode 7: Alone Star State of Mind

khloe and lamar season 2When last we left Khloe and Lamar two weeks ago, Lamar had been traded to the Dallas Mavericks soon after the NBA lockout ended. Emotionally wounded and with a heavy heart, Lamar made his way to Dallas with Khloe enroute a few days later. But as we will see, arriving in a new place is one thing, adjusting to it is quite another.

Kris and Bruce Jenner come to see Khloe off. Kris is in tears but Bruce, who thinks she’s being ridiculous, reminds it could have been Turkey. Kris rips into him. Khloe tells her mom she needs to be there to help with Lamar’s transition. Kris wonders who will be there for Khloe. Khloe arrives at the hotel in Dallas where she finds Lamar sore and exhausted from training. Khloe decides that the first order of business is to find a home to make Lamar comfortable. Tooling around town to find a home, Khloe meets several locals who are eager to embrace their new famous residents. She is warmed by their hospitality and is anxious to make a go of it in her new city.

At training camp Lamar is feeling the pressure of performing with a new team. He doesn’t feel like his body is in good shape and he’s hurting. Khloe tries to share house hunting progress with Lamar but he can barely stay awake. He is emotionally and physically drained and has nothing to offer Khloe. He remarks that this is the first time basketball felt like a job. Khloe believes he’ll be fine once she can get him settled with all the comforts of a home. Khloe narrows down their choices and brings Lamar along to check them out. She gets frustrated when Lamar’s biggest concern is having enough room for guests like Jamie. Khloe has no intention of letting Jamie live there with them and they actuallu bicker. Finally they agree on a new home. No surprise, Khloe prefers the condo with the least amount of bedrooms.

Khloe attends Lamar’s first Mavericks game. Lamar is ridden with anxiety and doesn’t feel prepared. Lamar misses shot after shot while Khloe watches from the sidelines. Khloe chalks it up to the fact that as a new player, Lamar doesn’t yet have the chemistry with teammates in order to read them well. She attempts to make him feel belter by decorating their furniture-less new home with roses petals and candles. Lamar arrives home dejected that his body is not responding. He also isn’t responding to Khloe’s attempts at romance. He just wants to go to bed. Khloe calls momager Kris for help. Kris reminds her she can’t hold everyone together all the time, she needs support too. Lamar finds her crying and he reassures her that all will be okay.

Next on Khloe and Lamar, Kim Kardashian arrives for a visit and quickly gets on Khloe’s nerves. Catch it April 15 at 10 p.m. on E!
