One of Agatha Christie’s most famous murder mysteries, “Murder On The Orient Express” has been remade into a movie again. The story is the perfect setting for an Escape Room Game. Fans of the classic 1934 book and the 1974 and 2017 films can enjoy a murder mystery game based on the famous “who done it” story set on an isolated trans-European Simplon-Orient Express . The only catch is that fans will have to travel to Finland to take part in the experience. The amazing “Murder On The Orient Express” movie has inspired the best Escape Room game ever.

Murder on the Orient Express

In the classic mystery, Belgian private detective Hercule Poirot finds that he must return from Istanbul to London as fast as possible and manages to get a ticket on the Orient Express to Calais, France. During the second night of the trip, the train is stopped by a snowbank. During the night, the person sleeping in the next compartment to Poirot is murdered. It turns out that everyone traveling in the first class cabins that night has a motive in the murder and Detective Poirot has a complex murder mystery to solve.

The Films

Sidney Lumet directed the 1974 film starring Albert Finney, Lauren Bacall and Ingrid Bergman. Finney and Bergman won Academy Awards for their roles, and Paul Dehn won the award for best screenplay adaptation. Kenneth Branagh directed and starred in the recent 2017 film. Penelope Cruz, Michelle Pfeiffer, Josh Gad and Johnny Depp star in the film.

The Game

Little is know about the game except it should have the typical situations that other Escape Room games have with various clues to solve the murder. However, the “Murder On The Orient Express” Escape Room game promises to be unique. There most likely will be character actors involved to keep the tension going for the entire 13 hour trip. The game will involve 2 train cars with 12 compartments much like the first class accommodations in the book and films.
