In 1995 one of the two greatest phenomenons of the decade was released when NYSYNC became one of the absolute biggest boy bands in the world. To this day only hardcore fans of the group could still tell you the name of every one of them, but at this point the world probably knows the names of Justin Timberlake and, to some lesser extent, Joey Fatone. As for the others their fame might have risen and fallen but no matter what their part in the group was over and done with by 2007 when it was finally announced.
The unfortunate part about boy bands is that eventually they do have to grow up and become men in their own right. They might have all made that transition but only one of them managed to keep his stardom intact.
5. Lip Sync Battle-Bye Bye Bye
It’s very fair to say that this is one of the songs you’ll hear the most when it comes to NSYNC and still find that people will confuse them with the Backstreet Boys at least five times out of ten. John Krasinski does an awesome job all on his own when it comes to lip synching the song, which could have just a little something to do with why he’s become so famous as of late. This show is just so much fun to watch that it’s easy to notice the competitors.
4. Sesame Street-Believe In Yourself
You know if a group or an individual is asked to come on Sesame Street that they’ve become a big enough deal that people think that they might be a good influence on kids. That could be the case, or it could have been an attempt to induct a new generation of fans so that their fame wouldn’t die out as quickly. If you think about it they weren’t really around for that long when the group finally went on a hiatus.
3. Superbowl 35 Half-Time show-Bye Bye Bye
There are times when showing up at the Superbowl can make or break a performer when it comes to halftime. Whether they fizzle out and get forgotten or are subjected to rumors that get their fans buzzing about a reunion, they were the center of attention for at least a half hour, well, when they didn’t have to share the stage and the spotlight. Unfortunately this would lead to no reunion as it turned out.
2. Tarzan-Trashing the Camp
Getting together with the legendary Phil Collins was one thing that could have turned their careers around but it was short-lived since Tarzan was great when it came out but didn’t quite have the same staying power as any of the other movies. Parents might have thought it was a little too risque for their kids, which is something that reeks of hypocrisy when you look at the rest of Disney’s roster.

Poor JD. Every time he needs something it seems that the people who are supposed to have his back are busy doing something else or else can’t seem to be bothered at the moment. You know it’s getting crazy though when even Dr. Kelso gets in on the action.
But it ain’t no lie baby bye bye bye.
