The “Zelda: Twilight Princess” Lake Hylia Theme Done Multitrack Acapella

The Lake Hylia theme from Zelda done in acapella is kind of interesting since it’s one of those stages in games that the theme song tends to continue on and on so long as the character stays in the same spot. It’s pleasant enough but it’s also something you wouldn’t want to listen to the entire time you were in the game. As a respite for the weary player however it’s definitely a nice background theme to listen to. It just shows that some people really do get into Zelda quite a bit and like to show their appreciation of the game. Some people might find it odd but others would call it being a dedicated fan.

Ever since it came out in 1987, in the US anyway, the Legend of Zelda has been one of the most popular games ever conceived. Created as an adventure game the original version made the characters into little dots with barely recognizable features, almost like blobs with distinct coloring. The game was also run in a manner that was allowed to scroll down when the character reached a new screen, and had to change screens when the character entered a cave or other interior space. It was at that time something special since it was one of the newest things on the markets and the challenges as well as the puzzles were something for the players to figure out and eventually master. The game was great for those that enjoyed the format, but for others games that went from left to right with their movement were still the thing to enjoy. Over the years of course The Legend of Zelda changed its format a couple of different times and became what it is now, as it had to find a way to contend with other games that were starting to allow a great deal more movement within their virtual worlds.

Still, throughout its long history Zelda has continued to incorporate a lot of the same elements that made the game so great. It’s become a lot more extensive in what it uses and the world itself has expanded a great deal, but overall it’s the same game with a lot of the same characters. People’s love of the game has kind of waned over the years largely because there’s such a huge market out there right now for games both mainstream and underground. Keeping pace with everything at this point is kind of difficult even for a game like Zelda, which set the bar for the gaming industry in its day and made it increasingly difficult for any game to top it for some time. Everything must come to pass eventually though, and while Zelda is still a popular game that attracts enough people to be worth the effort, it’s also had to contend with other games quite a bit across various systems in the last few decades. Once NES was no longer the big system on campus, it’s many games had to change, and Zelda had to change with them.

To date however the game is still going strong.
