Prior to its upfront presentation next week, NBC has announced the pick up of three new series:
Revolution: Produced by J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot and Warner Bros. TV, this new series was written by Supernatural creator Eric Kripke and directed by Jon Favreau. The show centers around a group of characters living in a world where all forms of energy and communication have ceased to exist. These survivors are attempting to live through these strange times and reunite with their love ones. The show stars Billy Burke Giancarlo Esposito, Tracy Spiradakos, Anna Lise and Graham Rogers.
The New Normal: Produced and co-written by Glee creator Ryan Murphy and Ali Adler, The New Normal centers around a gay couple (Andrew Rannells and Justin Bartha) who recruit a waitress (Georgia King) to serve as their baby surrogate. Ellen Barkin co-stars.
Save Me: Written/executive produced by John Scott Shepherd, Save Me stars Anne Heche as a woman who has a spiritual “awakening” that encourages her to make changes to her life and marriage. Like The New Normal, it looks like Save Me may premiere in August after the Olympics.
