NBC Releases Pulled Hannibal Episode as a Web Series

Hannibal has to walk a tricky line right now between not erasing the great momentum the show has had in recent weeks, while still not offending anyone in light of recent events. The fourth episode of the show was pulled from the line-up after the Boston terror attacks. The showrunners felt that some people might be negatively impacted by some of the content, including children killing other children, I believe.

The episode will air in international markets, but not in the US. But to make sure people aren’t completely lost when episode five comes around, they’ve released the lost episode broken up into six chunks on YouTube. They’re calling it a “webisode.” It’s bits and pieces of the episode in question with the controversial bits cut out. Brian Fuller appears at the beginning telling you that you can find the full cut…elsewhere, if you like.
