There comes a time when something has to break and the truth has to come out no matter the differing stories of those doing the telling. In a new documentary R. Kelly, who many people already associate with heinous acts against underage women, has been accused of ‘grooming’ a 14-year old girl as a sexual pet. Now obviously that sounds absolutely despicable, but even more so would seem to be the realization that the woman he was dating at the time was exposed to this and didn’t speak up right away. In this case there doesn’t seem to be any ‘good guy’ in this scenario as a rational-thinking human being would bring forth evidence of Kelly’s wrongdoing, if there was such a thing, and would see him locked away for a good long while.
But unfortunately after all the accusations Kelly has still been found not guilty and has remained a free man, albeit with a very tarnished name. How the man still has fans at this point is something of a miracle, but there are those that tend to refute anything when it comes to their favorite stars. However the one reason why he’s still free could be that he’s settled out of court with many young women that have claimed he had sexual encounters with them. Quite honestly that doesn’t sound like the act of an innocent man or someone that just wants the problem to go away. That sounds more like a guy that’s trying to keep everything on the down low while quietly admitting that he made a mistake. Keep in mind this is also the guy that married a singer when she was only 15 and then had it quickly annulled. Yeah, that doesn’t look guilty at all.
Kelly has vehemently denied all allegations towards him when it comes to his indiscretions and the manner in which he’s treated underage women, but right now a lot of people are starting to think otherwise when it comes to his innocence. Condemning him is the easy part, proving that he did anything wrong is what’s been so hard for two decades. As foolish as it might be for him to partake in sexual encounters with underage women he seems to know how to cover his tracks, or has someone that can do it for him. Honestly at this point it’s hard to know why R. Kelly is still a star aside from the fact that he can sing and because he’s been in trouble in the past. His time has kind of come and gone, and as of now he’s more of a byline in any article unless he happens to be getting accused for something again. That’s a sad note on what was at one point a promising career, but right now he’s a punchline, not so much a headline.
If any of it’s true he should be checking into a dingy room with an orange jumper on, but somehow that doesn’t seem likely.
