Every once in a while the internet finds a photo that becomes a huge meme for anywhere from 24-48 hrs. At this point in the age of the internet I don’t question these pictures anymore. There’s no rhyme or reason to why any of these get selected. The point is that when one of them catches on they tend to REALLY catch on, everyone gets wind of it, and people join in on the fun. The collective chain reaction is practically as exciting as the subject itself.
Over the last 24 hours this “Devastated Elmo” photo has been getting the much needed photoshop treatment and it’s pretty hilarious. Someone took a photo of this guy in Times Square next to a big Woody from Toy Story figure. Poor Elmo figure is in the background looking pretty upset about the whole thing. This photo led to a historic Photoshop battle and I of course dug up some of the best pictures. Enjoy!
