Is everyone ready to test the waters with DC’s Legends of Tomorrow? If the trailers and newly released clips are any indication, comic and TV fans alike will hopefully have a new show on their hands. When heroes aren’t enough, that’s where legends come into play. It sounds a little cheesy but I give the CW a 50/50 chance at pulling this off. Here’s the premise of the show if you haven’t seen anything yet.
Time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat – one in which not only the planet is at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow stars Victor Garber as Dr. Martin Stein, Brandon Routh as Atom, Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, Caity Lotz as White Canary, Ciara Renee as Hawkgirl, Falk Hentschel as Hawkman and Franz Drameh as Jay Jackson, with Dominic Purcell as Heat Wave and Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold.
The main villain on the show is Vandal Savage who is played by Casper Crump. You might recall Crump because he was first seen in the Arrow and Flash crossover that aired earlier this month on the CW. The show, in theory, should be a success as the producers are the same people who produce Arrow and The Flash (Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg, Phil Klemmer and Wendy Mericle).
Do you think this show has the chops to be as successful as other comic shows on the CW?
