Realistic Popeye is AAAAAAAAHHHHH!!

popeye

From artist Rick Baker comes an image that no one who ever wants to make it through life with their childhood intact should ever see. I’ve seen realistic depictions of Mario and Homer Simpson, but this one takes the cake due to its exceptionally creepy pedo vibe.  Not to mention just an all around “everything else about this picture creeps me out” vibe.  I can just see this Popeye heading out on the town because he’s on leave.  Actually a horror movie is now coming to mind (surely because Rick Baker is the artist).

Personally I’d want to see other Popeye characters rendered as well, but Olive Oyl would probably look too much like a Holocaust survivor and Bluto would be all Mark McGuire when he was roided out.   Still though, an impressive piece here.
