Only yesterday we shared a video of what could be considered the worst flop in the history of sports. So what better a way to follow it up than with a completely unnecessary and out of hand fight in the sport of soccer, yes soccer? That’s exactly what happened in Argentina when things went completely nuts. In this amateur shot video a player goes right after the referee and starts attacking him with punches. But to the surprise of many, the referee comes right back and stars throwing serious haymakers. According to Brobible
It’s not every day you see a referee throwing punches like that. The ref was just defending himself and it’s despicable that another player would come up behind him and attack him while he was fighting off the initial attack. I don’t know much about Argentinian soccer beyond the National Team and whatever league they used to show on Fox Sports back in the day, but this doesn’t seem to be indicative of the Argentinian soccer culture at all, so don’t blame the whole orchard for one bad apple.
P.S. I fully agree with this assessment. There’s no way this is indicative of Argentina let alone soccer as a sport, period. Still though, it’s not something you see every day.
