In her fifth hosting gig on Saturday Night Live, Scarlett Johansson didn’t have to do much in her finest moment on the show. While the Ghost in the Shell actress turned in another solid comedic performance, it was a commercial where she didn’t have to say a word at all that got the most laughs. Johansson debuted her Ivanka Trump impression and the internet has been absolutely loving it.
Set at a fancy gala, a beautiful blonde comes strolling in. All eyes are on her. Even the waiters carrying the drinks can’t help but to stop and stare at her. “Every man knows her name. Every woman knows her face. When she walks into a room, all eyes are on her. She’s……Ivanka. A woman like her deserves a fragrance all her own, a scent just for her, because she’s beautiful, she’s powerful, she’s…..complicit.”
It was perhaps the finest moment of the night as SNL nailed yet another parody commercial. Ivanka hasn’t really gotten reamed too much on SNL up until now and last’s night’s commercial summed it all up in less than a minute and a half.
