It takes a comical look at what pets get up to when their owners are not at home and follows the adventures of a terrier called Max. Snowball, the white rabbit, is voiced by Kevin Hart. This character is the enemy who turns good later in the film. In the same year as ‘The Secret Life of Pets’ was released, Hart was also in ‘Ride Along 2’, ‘Central Intelligence’ and ‘Kevin Hart: What Happens Next’. The latter of these was his stand-up film. In 2017, he was the voice of George Beard in ‘Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie’ and had roles in ‘The Upside’ and ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’. His latest role is playing Teddy Walker in ‘Night School’.

Jenny Slate

Jenny Slate is the voice of Gidget, an enthusiastic white Pomeranian who is also Max’s love interest. The year after ‘The Secret Life of Pets’ was released, Jenny Slate had acting roles in ‘Landline’, ‘The Polka King’, ‘Gifted’, and ‘Aardvark’. She also provided the voice of Harley Quinn in ‘The Lego Batman Movie’ and the voice of Valerie Da Vinci in ‘Despicable Me: 3’. In 2018, she is in ‘Hotel Artemis’ and is providing the voice for Dr. Dora Smith in ‘Venom’. She also has her next project lined up for 2019 as she is the voice of Mitzi in ‘The Ark and the Aardvark’.

Ellie Kemper

Ellie Kemper provided the voice of Katie, who is the owner of Max and Duke in the film. She has since had voice roles in two more films in 2017; ‘The Lego Batman Movie’ and ‘Smurfs: The Lost Village’. She has also appeared in episodes of several television shows.
