The Olympic Hiatus – When Will Your Favorite Shows Return?

This weekend I was grumbling on the phone to my sister. “How dare they interrupt my favorite shows like Supernatural for the Olympics!” I cried, “Who the hell even watches the Olympics?!” “Uh…like 3 billion people” she replied. Needless to say, we’re now in a fight, because I hate it when she’s right.

Oblivious to my personal family drama, the Olympics will be interrupting some of my – and your – favorite shows. So I’ve put together a list for you below of which shows are expected to take a break for a few weeks (or, in the case of The Vampire Diaries and Supernatural, many weeks).

I’ve also provided a run-down of return dates for some shows like V or Gossip Girl who have been off the air since the end of 2009. Finally, I’ve included the season or series premiere dates for shows like The Tudors or United States of Tara.

FYI, seeing as NBC is the official Olympics broadcaster, you can bet that most, if not all, NBC shows are on hiatus until further notice.

If there’s anything I’m missing, mention it in the comments below and I’ll try to find out the return date for you! **Keep checking back, because I’ll update this list as I get more information**
