The Top Five Donald Faison Movie Roles of His Career

A lot of folks might remember Donald Faison best as Turk from the hit show Scrubs. But sadly since that’s not a movie it won’t appear on this list. He’s proven himself capable of handling other roles however and got his start at the age of 17 in a Folgers commercial. His style of acting is usually very loose and it’s easy to see just how he can be seen as a comical person since he breaks into a smile so easily. His more dramatic moments are harder to watch since he seems like a person to whom smiles come quite naturally.

He’s a bit underrated as an actor honestly.

5. Homie Spumoni-Renato/Leroy

Having spent all of his life growing up in an Italian family Renato has no other culture that he knows about and as a result is one of the few black men in his neighborhood that doesn’t relate to those of the same skin color or race. But when his birth parents show up and start trying to teach him about his cultural roots things take on a different twist as Renato begins to realize just what it means to be a black man.

4. Kick-Ass 2-Dr. Gravity

Kick-Ass featured enough heroes to fill the bill the first time around, but Kick-Ass 2 went ahead and dialed it up a few notches in order to make it truly hilarious. Few of the superheroes or villains could have taken on anyone with significant training, but against one another it was an all out slugfest that tended to favor those with the biggest and best weapons and those that had at least a little fighting ability.

3. Can’t Hardly Wait-Drummer

This band was kind of a non-starter from the beginning. This was their first gig and they split up over a debate stemming from the wearing of a t-shirt with their logo on it. Then they tore their stage apart and then they finally parted ways. Of course that didn’t last long since they got back together for a ‘reunion’ gig, which was essentially the same gig, only for the party to be busted up by the cops.

2. Clueless-Murray

Murray’s kind of a supporting character that doesn’t have a lot to do with the movie in comparison to a lot of the other characters. In truth it’s kind of easy to feel sorry for him since he has to give driving lessons and almost loses his jeep in the process. There’s a thing called Driver’s Education for a reason, their cars and instructors are capable and well-insured at least.

1. Remember the Titans-Petey Jones

Football was fun right up until the point when the head coach said it wasn’t anymore. There’s plenty of time to have fun, but there’s work to be done before that can happen. If you want to be the best and to have what you’ve never had before then you’ve got to push and keep pushing until you’ve given everything you have. Then it’s time to dig a little deeper and find out what’s left.

Seriously, he’s a lot better actor than he’s been given credit for.
