TV Ratings Tuesday: ‘Glee’ Stays On Top With Adults 18-49 But Dips

FOX racked up to another Tuesday victory in adults 18-49 but CBS held the upper hand in total viewers. NBC came in third in total viewers and the demo followed by ABC and last and The CW.

There was no way around FOX’s Glee, which dominated the 8pm hour with 11.04 million viewers and a 4.4 rating/13 share among adults 18-49. But compared to last week, Glee dipped by 640,000 viewers and 4 percent in the demo.

Next was a repeat of the animation short movie A Charlie Brown Christmas (8.03 million viewers; A18-49: 2.6/7) on ABC followed by a repeat of NCIS on CBS (11.82 million viewers; A18-49: 2.0/6). NBC’s season two opener of Minute to Win It (6.95 million viewers; A18-49: 1.9/5) only outperformed an all-new episode of The CW’s One Tree Hill (2.20 million viewers; A18-49: 1.0/3), which set a season high in total viewers.

Part one of NBC’s The Biggest Loser (8.09 million viewers; A18-49: 3.0/8) led the 9pm hour followed by FOX’s Raising Hope (7.05 million viewers; A18-49: 2.9/8), which posted gains of 400,000 viewers and 7 percent in adults 18-49, in comparison with last week.

A repeat of NCIS: Los Angeles (10.36 million viewers; A18-49: 1.9/5) and original installments of failing No Ordinary Family (6.31 million viewers; A18-49: 1.9/5), Running Wilde (4.06 million viewers; A18-49: 1.7/4), which built by 700,000 viewers and 21 percent among adults 18-49, compared to last week, and Life Unexpected (1.77 million viewers; A18-49: 0.9/2) capped off the hour. At least, Life Unexpected hit a season high in total viewers and adults 18-49.

The second half of The Biggest Loser won the 10pm hour at an impressive 8.35 million viewers and a 3.2/10 in adults 18-49. Second-placed Detroit 1-8-7 (6.81 million viewers; A18-49: 1.4/4) fell to a new series low in total viewers and the demo while a repeat of The Good Wife (6.87 million viewers; A18-49: 1.3/4) ranked third at 10pm.
