While we’re all going to have to wait until 2019 for Star Wars Land to open at a Disneyland near you, that doesn’t mean we won’t have updates on the development of the park. It’ll be pretty amazing to see just how comprehensive this park actually is and just how close to real life the attractions are. Disney is keeping a lot of details close to the vest but a a new video was just dropped revealing some pretty familiar hardware, and these new AT-AT walkers are pretty awesome. Not sure how fully functional they are but Disney is the company you want to at least try to make laser canons real.
In addition to these AT-AT walkers, the Disney Parks blog has some detail on two more rides, including one featuring the Millennium Falcon, and another that thrusts you right into the middle of a battle zone:
We’re also creating two incredible new signature attractions: one that lets guests take the controls of Millennium Falcon on a customized secret mission, and an epic STAR WARS adventure that puts guests in the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance.
So yeah, there’s that too. Get ready for some serious Star Wars action in the near future. In the meantime, the Avatar park should keep you busy.
