Young and the Restless Couples Who Make Better Friends

Young and the Restless fans are sure that some people work better together than others. We love so many couples on this show. For instance, we are huge fans of Lily and Cane, especially after they worked through what they worked through this year. Since they have been able to work through their own marital issues, they’ve become one of our favorite couples. In fact, we also really like Nikki and Victor together. They are just enough of a mess that they make it work for us. They are awful but in the most amazing way. We certainly aren’t sure that they make the best couple, the best decisions, or the best anything, but we are certain that they are good together in a weird and very strange way. But that’s not all. Sometimes we just don’t like certain couples together, and we are bringing that to you now.

Billy and Phyllis

Let’s go ahead and be entirely honest about this one. They are not good for one another. They actually have nothing in common, they don’t seem to do well with their decisions, and he’s just not good enough for her. Not that she’s perfect, by any means, but she’s always come across as so much more mature than him. He’s been someone who has not made good choices, who has not made any wise decisions in his life, and who has not been good for just about anyone in the world. But now is a good time for him to make some great choices with some great options to do some great things — on his own. Because ewe don’t like him with her. But, we do like him with Victoria, whatever that says about her.

Nick and Phyllis

And here we go. He’s just too nice of a man for her, even though he’s been a little bit more dangerous and questionable in the past few months. She’s just too much for him, but we love to see them as friends. They make great friends with benefits, which is also something we are big on. However, they don’t make a great couple in general. They don’t need to be together in any long term capacity. But they do have a beautiful friendship that we don’t want to see them ruin. They have so much more to offer one another than just what they are doing now, but only as friends. They can help one another, but their friendship will never work if he hopes to be back with Sharon before much longer. He’s holding out for her, after all, but he’s definitely taking the perks of being Phyllis’ friend where they are offered. That’s a nice thing, sometimes.

Kyle and Lola

We just don’t know enough about her to really judge yet, but we think she’s a bit too much for him. She seems like she’s got it a lot more together in her own life than he does, but Summer seems so perfect for him. Or, perhaps she will be the one who finally gets Kyle to grow up, chill out, and man up. He’s a big, overgrown child most days. And we love that about him. He makes us laugh, he gives us all the fun things in life, and he might be our favorite of all time — but, we don’t think that he can keep up with everyone unless he has a chance to do it himself. He might not be able to handle her, and he might drag her down. If she cannot make him come up to her level — or at least the level we think she is on — she’s going to need to ditch him and move on for something a little better and little more mature.

He and Summer, though. They are equally immature, so we think they can make one another very happy. She’s a mess, he’s a mess, and together they make a very fun mess. They have such a good friendship, too. We’d like to see Summer and Kyle together, but we’d like to see him just maintain a nice friendship with Lola. It seems better that way, to be honest.
