Young and the Restless fans know Dina hasn’t been around much. She abandoned her kids. She left town to go lead her own life and do what she wanted, and she never felt bad about leaving them behind. She’s got two daughters and a son who are now confused and suspicious about her return, and she can’t seem to get over that. She wants to reconcile, but they don’t seem particularly interested in doing so. Why not? She’s hurt them so badly, she can’t seem to make up for it no matter how hard she tries.
We’re watching as Jack tries to deal with things his own way. Ashley is much more emotional, and her way of handling things is not something that’s working for her. Once she had lunch with Traci, she felt a little better about things and the future. She managed to calm down a bit, but she still has no desire to make amends with her mother.
Will her sister and brother convince her it’s time to do just that, or will she find a way to get out of being the happy little family Dina seems to want them to be all of a sudden? And if she doesn’t make amends, will Dina share her dirty little secret and ruin Ashley’s future forever? She claims she’s changed, but we don’t believe that for a second. Can she make a real change in her life, or will her kids realize she’s after something completely different before it’s too late?
