At the 2017 awards, David Dobrik faced off against Brave Wilderness, Binging with Babish, Jake Paul, and Kristen Hancher for the title of “Breakout Creator”. He ended up taking this award home.

He’s Dating Fellow YouTuber Elizabeth Koshy

David Dobrik’s girlfriend Elizabeth Koshy is also well-known on YouTube, with millions of subscribers and billions of views to her name. She has won two Streamy Awards and a Teen Choice Award. Her career is a little more expansive than Dobrik’s, seeing as she has played on the television show Freakish. She also co-hosts an MTV series called Total Request Live. David Dobrik and Liza Koshy have been dating since 2015.

He’s a Sports Fan

Back in 2016, David Dobrik and Liza Koshy attended the Summer Olympics together. They called it their “nine-month anniversary”, and spent their time cheering on the Americans as they faced off against the best athletes in the world. Nobody would spend the time and money to go to the Olympics if they didn’t like sports — so we have to conclude that Dobrik and Koshy are both big fans.

He Has a Five-Step Process for Success on YouTube

David Dobrik has come up with five essential steps to gaining fans and recognition on any social media video site. His first step is to develop your own style — look for gaps and fill one with content you will be passionate about Step two is collaboration. It is important to try to find people who match your style, have a large audience, and would be willing to collaborate in a mutually beneficial way Third, you should post on a schedule. This way, people will get used to watching you at a certain time. It will also get buzz going for the next episode. The next step is to use your other social media to announce the content. This helps to get exposure and will help your videos gain the maximum amount of views that they possibly can. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, you should always break the rules. Following standards set by other people is a sure path to fading away into the crowd. Breaking rules helps you to stand out — the most important thing to do in the online entertainment game.

He Is Against Repealing the DACA

The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Act — otherwise known as the DREAM Act — was a program that allowed people to remain in the United States if they arrived illegally as a minor. David Dobrik was the son of an illegal immigrant couple, and thus could end up deported after the DACA fails. This makes him incredibly angry, because he paid hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes in a single year. He feels rather let down by the country — especially its administrative branch.
